Everyone knows that strength is important. It’s the motive force behind any dynamic display of athleticism – and those sexy muscles we all want to show off – but developing only some of your muscles at the expense of others can lead to injury or imbalances.
For real-world movement ability you can rely on, it’s important to develop strength in all directions and even in unusual positions. Simply Physical strength is the measure of a persons exertion of force on physical objects. Increasing physical strength is the goal of strength training.
Flexibility + MOBILITY
You probably don’t need to be able to do the splits, but if you’re unable to get into a position you’d like then greater flexibility is needed. Fewer restrictions in your ranges of motion means you can move with grace and ease.
Though many people like arguing about the semantics of ‘flexibility‘ vs ‘mobility‘, the fact is that you need both if you want to perform at your best. Are you now wondering what does flexible look like compared to mobility
A person with great mobility is able to perform functional every day movement patterns with no restrictions in the range of motion (ROM) of those movements (e.g Squat). A flexible person may or may not have the core strength, balance, or coordination to perform the same functional movements as the person with great mobility.
Flexibility is the ability of a muscle(s) to lengthen. Mobility on the other hand is the ability of a joint to move actively through a range of motion

Owning a Ferrari isnt a lot of fun if you don’t know how to drive it. Control is your ability to direct your body’s capabilities and have it respond like a finely-tunes machine to your needs and wishes.
Developing motor control is a lot like learning to write as a child. It requires patient repetition, and if you try to shortcut the work, you’ll always look sloppy and good chances are with poor motor control you may have the sequence of a movement pattern going wrong which can lead to muscle overuse or some muscles not engaging at all.
Adults (and even children) who are not spending enough time moving their bodies from a younger age can lack control and strength as they get older as they simply do not repeat the repetition enough.
